Amazon will expand and accelerate consumer payments under its 2025 settlement with the Federal Trade Commission over Prime enrollment and cancellation practices.
The FTC said a federal court approved revisions that broaden eligibility, raise the maximum total payment from $51 to $200 and make future payments automatic. Amazon had already issued more than $845 million in redress as of September 2026, according to the agency.
Additional automatic refunds are scheduled to begin Oct. 1 for newly eligible consumers. The FTC warned that it is not contacting consumers to request money or personal information in connection with the refunds.
