The City of Frederick has moved applications for parades, walks and races to its OpenGov online permitting system.
Organizers can use the portal to submit applications, pay fees and receive official communications related to events on public property or within the public right of way. The city says all official follow-up after an application is filed will occur through the applicant's OpenGov account.
Officials also warned organizers to be cautious of messages requesting payment outside the platform, directing anyone who receives a questionable message to contact the Parks and Recreation Department.
