A 39-year-old Oakland man is being held without bond after Garrett County sheriff's deputies arrested him on first- and second-degree assault charges, according to the Garrett County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff Bryson Meyers' office said deputies responded to Mews Crescent Court on Sept. 14 for an assault. Following the investigation, deputies obtained an arrest warrant charging Jeremy Ray Guthrie with two counts of first-degree assault and two counts of second-degree assault.
The Sheriff's Office said Guthrie was arrested Sept. 15 on the warrant and transported to the Garrett County Detention Center, where he was being held without bond when the agency published its update. The public release did not provide additional details about the alleged assault, the condition of any victim or the circumstances leading up to the incident.
