Baltimore County police say a suspect has been taken into custody in Pennsylvania in connection with a fatal shooting in Dundalk that left a 62-year-old man dead.
Police were called Thursday afternoon to the unit block of Shipping Place, where officers found Anthony Storms suffering from a gunshot wound. Storms was taken to a hospital and later died, according to reporting from WBAL-TV based on police information.
Baltimore County police said Friday night that detectives were coordinating the suspect's extradition to Maryland. Authorities had not publicly detailed the suspect's identity or the charges expected in Baltimore County at the time of the update.
The arrest marks a significant step in the investigation but does not end the case. Detectives will continue gathering evidence, prosecutors will review the facts supporting any charges and a Maryland court will ultimately determine the case. Any person charged is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
